Veteran restaurateurs Rachel Magi and her Husband Andrea Magi own several Italian restaurants. Rachel, raised in Jerusalem, is the daughter of a British mother and an Israeli father. Andrea is a native of Italy, well known there as an Olympic boxer and medalist at the European Championships in the 1980s.
The Magis’ restaurants include the Calata 15 restaurant in Pesaro, Italy; La Calata 15 in Hezeliya Israel, La Pappardella restaurant in Earl’s Court and Mascalzone in Edgware.
Mascalzone was established in 2001 by Andrea and under the management of Emanuele and Fabio it has received great success as the only authentic Italian restaurant in Edgware. After successfully running the family restaurant for over 10 years, Emanuele made the decision to go back to his home country, Italy. Since then Mascalzone has been through many refurbishments, experimenting with various styles of presentation, but with the comeback of Emanuele the restaurant is finally returning back to the old traditional Italian style.
